Some of you may have been getting warning signs from your browser (or have been getting completely blocked from the site altogether) whenever you have tried to access the main page. This has been an issue that has been going on for some months now and that I have had great difficulty locating and even identifying if it was a malicious script in the first place.
Thanks go out to James Inman for drawing my attention to it in the first place. Initially I just thought it was my sloppy knowledge of script that was being incorrectly interpreted by the browser, but on further inspection I found a piece of script at the end of my index.php file that didn't belong there. Christ knows how it got there but if anyone has any ideas and can help me track the culprit, I'd be very much obligied.
As far as I can tell it was linking to the IP address 58.65.234.163 that I've since learned is registered in Hong Kong.
Here's an image of the script itself if anyone can identify it.
Personally it just looks like a string of nonsense, however, from now on I'll be paying close attention to file sizes and modification dates to ensure this doesn't happen again. I hope no-one has been negatively affected by this. As far as I am aware the worst it has done is simply block visitors from my site or flagging up a warning in their browser.
My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
